Message As a hypothetical, if you were to put a VNT setup on say, a set of GT2560RS turbos, and the effect were that it would get them wound up into higher PRs at low RPM, there is big potential to run the compressor into surge.

With the hybrid turbos I have which use the same compressor section as that turbo, but a 10-blade turbine, they spool a good bit quicker than the native 2860RS - I've taken from my boost plot and RPM to find that I'm skirting pretty close to the surge line given their rate of spool. If it were to spool any quicker, I'm pretty certain they would be in surge.
